NEWS FROM THE COUNCIL
What's new.
A quick look at the important changes to the game and its look.
No more stranded games.
- Keep playing when someone drops out. If a player is offline for 3 minutes, the host can let a bot play their seat or end the game without a result. Returning players take their seat straight back.
- Smarter bots. Practice and stand-in bots now read the votes and expedition results, and use only what their own role knows.
- Fairer endings. The Slayer confirms their final choice and can no longer name themselves or a known ally. With timers on, an idle player can no longer cause the fifth rejection.
- Clearer Custom setup. The Decoy now requires the Guardian, since misleading the Guardian is the Decoy's whole role.
Your name, ready for the next game.
Your last-used name is filled in when you return in the same browser, so joining another game takes one less step. You can change it before you take a seat.
Expedition reports, refined.
- A little more suspense. Sealed anonymous cards open one by one before the verdict, in a shorter 4–7 second reveal.
- A clearer view. Original destination artwork stays still while the seal and cards animate.
- Play at your pace. Choose Reveal now to skip the wait. Reduced motion shows the result immediately.
EARLIER UPDATES
More ways to join the council.
- Solo practice. Choose a Classic character and learn alongside four bots.
- Better on phones. Ready and voting controls stay within reach. The chat drawer keeps your draft during live updates.
- Follow the story. A council timeline collects completed votes and anonymous expedition reports.
- A moonlit kingdom. Forest surfaces, silver text, gold accents and five distinct expedition landscapes bring the table together.
